Chairperson, Pakistan Academy of Letters
Serving as Chairperson since August 2023
First Woman to hold this officeLiterature is the cultural asset of nations, and the fundamental purpose of Pakistan Academy of Letters is to preserve, promote, and nurture this asset. We want writers from every region, every language, and every province of Pakistan to receive the platform they deserve. Bringing suburban and regional literature into the national mainstream is the fundamental goal of the Academy.
We should be proud of our native and national languages and work together for their promotion. I believe literature transcends borders — it connects hearts, bridges cultures, and creates harmony among nations.
