The Pakistan Academy of Letters (PAL) formalized literary cooperation with the Nepal Academy through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed on 13 May 2018. A PAL delegation, accompanied by a representative of the National Heritage and Literary Heritage Division, visited Nepal from 12–15 May 2018 to attend the signing ceremony. In January 2019, a three-member delegation, headed by the Chancellor of the Nepal Academy, visited PAL in Islamabad, further strengthening bilateral ties. This cooperation has also resulted in notable literary exchanges, including the Nepali translation of PAL’s biannual journal Pakistani Literature Special Women Issue (Vol. 12–13). At the same time, PAL is undertaking the Urdu translation of The Voice of Nepali Poets. Furthermore, a PAL delegation participated in the 2nd China-South Asia Literature Forum held in Kathmandu in October 2019, thereby advancing regional literary and cultural cooperation.
